Freebie101

We post lots of deals on this site. That’s what we’re all about! Many of the deals are for freebies that we hear about that we think you will enjoy so we pass them along to you, our readers. We know that you can’t possibly take advantage of everything but we still pass along the information.
Freebies are a funny thing.
Sometime freebies are great because you can simply get something for FREE. Sometimes freebies are a “dud” because you really have to jump through hoops to get it for FREE!
A little advice from me (a person who loves the simple freebies):
- Decide if it’s worth it. Some of the freebies may take more time than others. If you have to drive all the way across town to take advantage of a free drink – it’s probably not worth it, unless you were already going that way! Decide if the item(s) given for FREE are worth your time, effort, gas money, etc.
- Time of day. Some freebies require that you come to the establishment at a certain time of day. If it’s inconvenient for you then you probably shouldn’t do it. If you can choose your time, try to go when you think it will be less busy. If it’s a FREE meal all day, it will most likely be busiest during mealtimes but may not be as busy in between meal times. Make sense?
- Be prepared for crowds. The most popular freebies attract crowds. That’s the whole point of the promotion. Just be prepared for that. That may mean you have to wait or be a little inconvenienced.
- Take advantage -silently. Personally, I think the best freebies are the kind you can sign up for online and have them mailed to you. No waiting, no hassle, no getting the kids in a car driving across town!
We get lots of comments thanking us for the freebies and we love it! We also get comments telling us what a hassle they had with certain freebies. We don’t want anyone to be inconvenienced but it kind of comes with the freebie territory.
Getting something for nothing may come with a little inconvenience.
It’s just true.
